Course Description
Looking to become an ACLS instructor? The new ACLS Instructor Essentials course will equip you with the necessary knowledge and skills to teach, evaluate and improve the core ACLS skills of your students. This blended course will involve an online component that will focus on administering the ACLS course and sharpening your instructor skills to deliver critical ACLS concepts. Then the 2-day in-person component will allow you to dive in and facilitate all ACLS Provider course lessons, emphasizing the building and refining of core ACLS instructor skills. Prerequisites: - Must be a healthcare provider who provides advanced emergency care in Canada as defined within their scope of practice - Current Heart & Stroke Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certificate - Current Heart & Stroke Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Provider Certificate - Submit an instructor application and pay application fee - Successful completion of the Heart & Stroke Core Instructor Course - Successful completion of the ACLS Instructor Essentials Online module Required Materials: - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Instructor Manual: RE5620E (print or eBook) - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Provider Manual: RE5610E (print or eBook) - ACLS Course Videos USB (RE5650E-USB) - 2020 Handbook of Emergency Cardiovascular Care for Healthcare Providers: RE0130E (print only) - Note: This kit can be purchased from the Heart Shop once you’ve been registered in the course.
Cancellation Policy
Refund and Cancellation Policy At ResusReady, we take pride in providing high-quality, accredited training through our ACLS, BLS, and other resuscitation-focused courses. To ensure fairness and consistency for all participants—and due to the logistical commitments required to deliver each course—our refund and cancellation policy is outlined below. 1. Student Cancellations and Refunds Due to the nature of instructor scheduling, venue reservations, and non-refundable licensing fees (such as Heart & Stroke online modules), no refunds or transfers will be issued for cancellations/requests made 14 days or fewer before the course start date. Cancellations or transfer requests made more than 14 days prior to the course start date are eligible for a refund or transfer, subject to a 30% administrative fee. This fee reflects costs already incurred, including course material access, transaction fees, etc. Please note: • No-shows are non-refundable. • Course fees are non-transferable to other individuals or future course dates. If you have concerns about a course you’ve completed, we encourage you to contact us at hello@resusready.ca as soon as possible. We’re committed to continuous improvement and will make every effort to address your feedback constructively. 2. Course Cancellations by ResusReady Courses require a minimum number of participants to proceed, as outlined by the Heart & Stroke Foundation. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any course that does not meet these minimum enrollment requirements. In the event ResusReady must cancel a course due to low enrollment, instructor illness, facility issues, or other unforeseen circumstances, all registered participants will be notified as soon as possible and offered one of the following options: • A full refund of any fees paid • A transfer to a future course of equal value • A credit applicable to any future course with ResusReady Notifications of cancellations will be sent via email using the contact information provided at the time of registration. Please ensure your contact details are accurate and up-to-date. 3. Important Notes • All refund requests must be submitted in writing via email to hello@resusready.ca. • Refunds, when applicable, will be processed within 10 business days of approval. • ResusReady is not responsible for any travel or accommodation costs incurred as a result of course cancellations.
