Course Description

Geared towards healthcare professionals who provide care to patients in a wide variety of settings. This course is often required for employment in most healthcare settings. The course covers CPR and choking management for adults, children, and infants, as well as airway management, BVM and AED use. Prerequisites: None Certification: Valid for 1 year Textbook: You can purchase the BLS textbook (print/digital) from the Heart Shop. What You'll Learn: - Recognize cardiac arrest - Activation of the the emergency response system - Perform high-quality single-rescuer CPR - Multi-rescuer team CPR - Adult, Child and Infant CPR and relief of choking - Use of an AED - Effective ventilations using a barrier device and bag-mask device - Opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies - NEW: Role of the CPR coach; Maternal cardiac arrest; Anaphylaxis; Drowning; Heart attack and stroke; and, Other life-threatening emergencies

Cancellation Policy

Refund and Cancellation Policy At ResusReady, we take pride in providing high-quality, accredited training through our ACLS, BLS, and other resuscitation-focused courses. To ensure fairness and consistency for all participants—and due to the logistical commitments required to deliver each course—our refund and cancellation policy is outlined below. 1. Student Cancellations and Refunds Due to the nature of instructor scheduling, venue reservations, and non-refundable licensing fees (such as Heart & Stroke online modules), no refunds or transfers will be issued for cancellations/requests made 14 days or fewer before the course start date. Cancellations or transfer requests made more than 14 days prior to the course start date are eligible for a refund or transfer, subject to a 30% administrative fee. This fee reflects costs already incurred, including course material access, transaction fees, etc. Please note: • No-shows are non-refundable. • Course fees are non-transferable to other individuals or future course dates. If you have concerns about a course you’ve completed, we encourage you to contact us at hello@resusready.ca as soon as possible. We’re committed to continuous improvement and will make every effort to address your feedback constructively. 2. Course Cancellations by ResusReady Courses require a minimum number of participants to proceed, as outlined by the Heart & Stroke Foundation. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any course that does not meet these minimum enrollment requirements. In the event ResusReady must cancel a course due to low enrollment, instructor illness, facility issues, or other unforeseen circumstances, all registered participants will be notified as soon as possible and offered one of the following options: • A full refund of any fees paid • A transfer to a future course of equal value • A credit applicable to any future course with ResusReady Notifications of cancellations will be sent via email using the contact information provided at the time of registration. Please ensure your contact details are accurate and up-to-date. 3. Important Notes • All refund requests must be submitted in writing via email to hello@resusready.ca. • Refunds, when applicable, will be processed within 10 business days of approval. • ResusReady is not responsible for any travel or accommodation costs incurred as a result of course cancellations.
