Accessibility Statement
ResusReady is committed to making our website and digital education accessible to everyone — including people with disabilities.
Effective Date: Nov 1, 2024
Last Updated: May 20, 2026
We believe equal access to clinical education matters — and we are working to make sure ResusReady is a place where everyone can learn.
Our Commitment and Standards
Our goal is to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA — the current international standard for web accessibility, set by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines cover making content perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for people with visual, auditory, motor, cognitive, and neurological differences.
We currently consider our website to be partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA. "Partially conformant" means we have done our best to meet these standards and we meet them in most places, but some content may not yet fully conform. We are working continuously to close those gaps.
What We've Done
To support accessibility across our site, we have:
-
worked through the Wix Accessibility Wizard to identify and fix issues across our pages;
-
added alternative (alt) text to images so screen readers can describe them;
-
structured every page with consistent, hierarchical headings (H1, H2, H3) so the site is navigable by assistive technology;
-
chosen colour combinations that meet WCAG AA contrast requirements for readability;
-
designed the site to be responsive and usable across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices;
-
ensured the site is keyboard-navigable, so it can be used without a mouse;
-
used descriptive link text and headings, so the purpose of each link is clear out of context;
-
reduced unnecessary motion and animation, which can be a barrier for some users;
-
set the page language so screen readers pronounce content correctly;
-
included narration scripts beneath most of our online courses, so the content is available in a readable form as well as an audio one.
Known Limitations
We want to be upfront about where we're currently as and where we want to be:
-
Closed captions in our LMS — our Learning Management System (Wix Online Programs) does not currently support built-in closed captions on its video player. While most of our courses include the full narration script as readable text beneath the video, not every course has this yet. We are working on it, and in the meantime, we will provide a transcript on request for any video that doesn't already have one — see the next section.
-
Course materials — some downloadable materials (PDFs, handouts) may not be fully optimized for screen readers. We make best efforts to produce accessible documents, and if you need an accessible alternative for any specific document, contact us and we will provide one.
-
Third-party content — our website includes content and tools provided by third parties (such as Wix's hosting platform, Heart & Stroke materials, embedded YouTube videos, and other integrated services). We do our best to choose providers with strong accessibility practices, but we don't fully control the accessibility of every third-party feature. If you encounter a third-party barrier, please tell us — we will either help find an alternative or pass the issue to the provider on your behalf.
Need Help or Have Feedback?
If you experience any difficulty using our website, encounter an accessibility barrier, or want to request content in an accessible format, please reach out — we want to know. We will do our best to provide the information, support, or service you need.

We will acknowledge your message within 2 business days and aim to resolve accessibility issues within 30 days. Where a longer timeframe is required, we will tell you and give you an estimate.
When you contact us, it helps if you can include: the page or course you were trying to use, the device and browser you were using, the assistive technology you use (if applicable), and a brief description of what didn't work. None of this is required — even a short note is enough to get us started.
Our Commitment and Standards
Accessibility isn't a one-time project — it's an ongoing process. We regularly review our website and content for accessibility, run Wix's accessibility tools across new pages and courses, and update this statement as we make improvements or identify new limitations.
If you have ideas for how we can do better, we'd love to hear them. Some of the best improvements we make come from people who tell us what's not working.
Formal Complaints
If you have raised an accessibility concern with us and you are not satisfied with our response, you may have additional rights under local accessibility laws, including:
-
In Canada — Accessible Canada Act (federally regulated organizations);
-
In Ontario — Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), administered by the Government of Ontario;
-
In British Columbia — Accessible British Columbia Act, administered by the Province of British Columbia;
-
In other Canadian provinces — equivalent provincial accessibility legislation;
-
In the European Union — the European Accessibility Act and your national accessibility authority;
-
In the United States — the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act may apply, depending on the circumstances.
We hope it never comes to a formal complaint — we would much rather hear from you directly and work it out together.
Thank you for helping us make ResusReady better for everyone.
