Bag Valve Mask Ventilation

You get handed the bag, and suddenly you're the one keeping this patient alive. The seal isn't holding. The chest isn't rising. Someone says "bag harder" and you're not sure that's right. BVM ventilation is one of the first skills clinicians learn and one of the least well understood. The mechanics feel simple, but the physiology is not, and when ventilation goes wrong, it goes wrong fast.

This course changes that. You'll build a working understanding of the respiratory physiology behind every squeeze, learn the technique differences that separate effective ventilation from air in the stomach, and develop the clinical judgment to recognize when a patient needs ventilatory support before they arrest. From assisted ventilation in the decompensating patient to managing the bag during continuous chest compressions, every module is built around the decisions you'll actually face. Scenarios throughout the course let you apply what you're learning in realistic clinical contexts, so the knowledge sticks when it counts.
