Course Description
This Blended Basic Life Support (BLS) course is geared towards healthcare professionals who provide care to patients in a wide variety of settings. This course is often required for employment in most healthcare settings and is also a prerequisite for ACLS. The course covers CPR and choking management for adults, children, and infants, as well as airway management, BVM and AED use. Prerequisites: None Certification: Valid for 1 year E-Textbook: Included with your online course access What You'll Learn: - Recognize cardiac arrest - Activation of the the emergency response system - Perform high-quality single-rescuer CPR - Multi-rescuer team CPR - Adult, Child and Infant CPR and relief of choking - Use of an AED - Effective ventilations using a barrier device and bag-mask device - Opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies - NEW: Role of the CPR coach; Maternal cardiac arrest; Anaphylaxis; Drowning; Heart attack and stroke; and, Other life-threatening emergencies

Cancellation Policy
Please read this policy carefully before completing your booking. 1. Refund and transfer schedule: - 30 or more days before the course: full refund of the course price, minus a $25 administrative fee. - 15 to 29 days before the course: 70% refund. A 30% fee applies to cover Heart and Stroke licensing fees already paid on your behalf. - 14 days or less before the course: no refund. The seat is fully committed. 2. Transfers to another date. The same fee schedule applies to transfers. The fee is paid in addition to your original course fee. 3. Course completion requirements. Heart & Stroke certification is awarded only after all required course competencies have been successfully demonstrated. Course fees cover participation in the course and do not guarantee certification. Participants who do not successfully complete the required assessments must register for another course if they wish to reattempt certification. 4. Non-transferable to other people. Course fees are tied to the registered participant and cannot be transferred to another person. 5. No-shows and late arrivals. If you do not attend your registered course, the seat is forfeited with no refund or credit. Heart and Stroke certification standards do not allow late admittance, so participants who arrive after the course has started will be turned away without refund. Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early. 6. Removal from a course. If a participant is removed for misconduct, for failing to complete required pre-course materials, or for any breach of the ResusReady Terms and Conditions, no refund is available. 7. If ResusReady cancels a course, registered participants may choose a full refund, transfer to a future course, or a credit for later use. ResusReady is not responsible for any travel or accommodation costs. 8. To request a refund or transfer. Email hello@resusready.ca with your course details. Refunds are processed in Canadian dollars and typically take 5 to 10 business days. 9. Full terms.
